Face to Face

Project Management for Face to Face exhibition at Guernsey Photography Festival 2021.

As part of Guernsey Photography Festival 2021, I co-ordinated a second iteration of Face to Face, the social documentary and portrait photography exhibition curated by Ekow Eshun.

Featuring work from Alejandro Cartagena, Margaret Courtney-Clarke, Medina Dugger, Sabelo Mlangeni, George Osodi and Kyle Weeks, the exhibition presented encounters that depict the agency, energy, and potential of people and causes on the ground across Africa and Latin America.

Participating photographers spent sustained periods of time directly engaging with the communities they depict to ensure they create a nuanced representation of their subjects. They each bring important issues and ideas into focus and the result is truly captivating.

Face to Face was originally exhibited at Kings Cross Tunnel and the Outside Art Project in partnership with the Fund for Global Human Rights. Working closely with artistic director Jean-Christopher Godet and curator Ekow Eshun, we brought the series back to life - this time in seven locations across St Peter Port, remaining free to view in the public space.
